Former Miss Alabama got married in an incredible Martina Liana wedding dress, Style 862. They had an elegant, Old Hollywood themed wedding, with neutrals complemented by lush greenery and dusty rose elements.
The Proposal
I had no idea what was happening until he started getting down on one knee. We went on a hike on one of our favorite mountains – Ruffner Mountain – And after many sweet words, he dropped down and popped the question! Tears and all from both of us! At the bottom of the mountain 30 of our closest friends and family were waiting for us, then after freshening up and a champagne toast, we headed to our favorite pizza restaurant where over 80 of our best friends and family members were waiting to celebrate us!
The Dress: Style 862
I wanted to look elegant, classy, and like a true bride. I competed in Miss America and always wore white to compete, so I didn’t want it to look pageant-y at all. This dress perfectly captured the old Hollywood effortless elegance I was looking for.
The Wedding Details
It was a lot of neutrals – white, greenery – and these beautiful cappuccino roses that are a dusty rose color. We also had a gorgeous pink and white rug underneath us to tie it all together along with black tuxes and light gray bridesmaids dresses.
Seeing my soon-to-be husband at the end of the aisle sobbing as I walked down to the song “Love Came Down.” I’ll never forget all the love I felt in that moment.
