From the bride: Steven and I are high school sweethearts so the proposal wasn’t a true surprise. We had already been dating for eight years when we finally decided to choose a ring together. As soon as the ring arrived on April 22nd, 2016 (I’m a size 3.75 so it took forever!), he arrived at my parents home and got down on his knee and proposed.
I’m obsessed with glitz and glam! So, IÂ definitely needed some sparkle on my dress. I wanted my dress to glow with me on my wedding day and it did just that. I bought my dress from Bridal Beginnings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was my first wedding dress shopping experience and I had brought my mom, sister, dad, and both in-laws. The Martina Liana Separates combo I tried to hit my vision right on the nose. And to be fair, my MOH dress was by Sorella Vita style 8726, which was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted for her.
We didn’t have a true theme because I’m indecisive. We decided on the colors navy blue and rose gold/blush. All of our table linens were navy blue with a glitz rose gold runner. We had blush roses as centerpieces and our sweetheart table linen was completely made up of rose gold sequin material. We didn’t have your typical bridal/groom party. We wanted it to be intimate and only chose our siblings to be apart of the party. My sister was MOH, my husband’s brother was best man, and my brother a groomsman. We aren’t very traditional so we had both the ceremony and reception at a hall. We had roughly 160 guests all of whom we’re pretty close with. We’re just a relaxed, easy going couple. Throughout this wedding experience, we have been told multiple times how easy we were to work with. Our wedding day was simple, relaxed, and beautiful.
The most-special memory of our day was that our ceremony was personalized for my love for Disney. Our officiant recited multiple Disney quotes from different movies; especially The Lion King which is my favorite movie.
