Real Martina Liana bride Amanda’s wedding to groom Daniel was like something out of a fairytale! From the magical castle proposal to Amanda’s incredible lace and tulle gown, her I do’s can only be described as dreamy. Setting the stage for this romantic affair, Amanda says her gown choice was unexpected but worth it – and we couldn’t agree more!
From the bride: Our love story is not ordinary, two weeks into knowing each other officially Daniel brought us Disneyland annual passes to ensure that the upcoming year we would have to see each other. We developed our love through our love of Disney. When it came time for the proposal Daniel was stationed overseas, he did his research and found a castle outside of Madrid, Spain. The Castle in Segovia was the very castle that inspired Walt Disney to build the Disneyland Castle better known as the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
On our very first Valentine’s Days 4 years into dating he drove out to Segoiva and took my hand. Through shaky words he started to tell me how he loved me and had already asked my parents months before for my hand in marriage. In a small stained glass window filled room he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. Through tears I said yes.
When we found our venue, an old Historical Spanish Revival building that is nestled in the Claremont hills surrounded by beautiful trees. We knew it was the perfect place to say our I do’s.
On our wedding day, I surprised with my groom to be with a vintage car that his uncle had restored. His uncle picked him up and took him to the venue where we had our first look. As he was walking to me and looked up, the look in his eyes was something I had never seen. I think every single one of the guest and him were expecting me to wear a form fitting gown, instead I showed up in a classic A-Line dress that no one imagined me in. Being able to surprise my groom as well as the guest was amazing. The dress made me feel like a bride and was comfortable enough to dance in all night.
