After slimming their guest list due to the pandemic, Alyssa and Austin knew their special day was going to be celebrated by the people who mean the most to them! Tell us about your proposal…
Austin and I had been dating for five years, we met in college and moved all over the country for his job. We had just finished our vacation, when I thought the proposal was going to happen. When he didn’t propose then, I was sure it wasn’t going to happen anytime soon! The Saturday after we got back home, we were getting ready to go on a walk when he got down on one knee in our living room and popped the question! It was completely unexpected and amazing! After, he had planned for both of our families and my closest friends to fly in for a surprise engagement party at a local restaurant! Talk about a day of surprises!
How did you know that Martina Liana Style 935 was the one?
Finding my dress was so special, it was the first shop I went to. My mom and aunt drove up and went with me! I tried on about five total dresses before finding Style 935. Before I walked out of the dressing room I was tearing up, I just knew it was the one! My bridal style was sleek, elegant, with a side of “wow”.
What style did you want your wedding to have?
The theme we were going for was rustic elegance. I love the spring and summer colors, so we went with misty blue for my bridesmaids, and navy for the groomsmen. I wanted a little blush in there too so our flowers were a mixture of greenery, blue hydrangeas, and pink roses! The whole feeling we were going for was a warm, family atmosphere.
Your wedding sounded so beautiful and personal! If you can pick, what was your favorite part of the day?
The most special memory from our day was our first look when we read our vows to each other. It was the most intimate and beautiful moment, we both were crying and feeling so much pure happiness and joy together. There are no words!
