Real Martina Liana Bride Alyse + Steven

An extravagant proposal and a romantic wedding… What’s not to love about Martina Liana bride, Alyse’s story?! Read on to learn about how she found her perfect gown, and how her wedding to husband, Steven, came together effortlessly. Congrats!

From the bride: Steven had planned a day out on New Year’s Eve 2016. He hadn’t told me details apart from to be ready by 11 am. We arrived in the city (Melbourne) at Micro flight, a helicopter company. We flew out to a beautiful winery in the Yarra valley called Ezard at Levantine Hill. We indulged in a five-course meal with wine tastings to match. After lunch we flew back to Melbourne and mid-flight, over the city, Steven asked me to be his wife. It was very romantic and the most memorable moment of my life.

From the very start, I knew I wanted a modern but classic gown and a low back was a must. I think I looked in almost every bridal shop in Melbourne, desperate to find what I had envisioned in my mind, I even looked into getting a custom gown made. With not much luck I went out for a casual look on my own. I ended up back at the first shop I had looked in. When I walked into a girl was trying a dress I that I recognised from the Martina Liana, website but I hadn’t thought much of it. When I saw it on her I had to try it on myself. As soon as I put the dress on I knew it was the one. It ticked all the boxes, it was modern but classic with Bellagio crepe, thick lace and of course a low back. I bought it straight away.

Similarly to my wedding dress, I wanted the style of the wedding to be modern but classic, sticking to neutral colours with touches of rose gold throughout the ceremony and reception decor. Timeless navy was picked for the suits and a ballet pink for the bridesmaids worked well together. For a personal touch, we had a photo table with photos of us both over the past 6 years with wedding pictures from both our parents and grandparents weddings.

The most special/memorable moment of the day would have to be when we walked into our reception as husband and wife for the first time in front of our family and friends.
