Real Essense of Australia Bride Rachelle + Cody

Despite the chilly temperatures, real Essense of Australia bride Rachelle managed to keep the warm love aglow during her winter wedding to fiance, Cody. Full of personalized details, there isn’t anything about this celebration that wasn’t picture perfect!

From the bride: We were at Cody’s family reunion/birthday weekend celebration. The whole weekend we had played games and had such a sweet time with family. The day before we left, we had all sat down to watch him open up his birthday gifts. Little did I know that the last gift he had on the table was not from anyone there. He opened it up, and he pulled out a ring box, got down on one knee, and said he doesn’t ask for much on his birthday, but he did want to ask me if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes and happy tears were falling! His whole family was there to witness this and it was such a beautiful and wonderful surprise!

For the wedding, I wanted to look elegant, but also have a dress that had a bit of a sexy element to it. I did also want to wear cowboy boots with my dress, so had to find a style that fits that as well. Our wedding was beyond what I could have ever dreamed! It was outside in 32-degree weather (the coldest Texas has seen in a while), but we kept our guests warm with hand warmers and coffee! We said “I Do” under the mistletoe and moved our reception inside to the barn with chandeliers. Our colors were navy, wine, and hints of gold and wanted to keep it an elegant rustic theme with lots of lights and candles. We personalized it by having Shiner beer (we live in Shiner, TX), had a Shiner beer grooms cake and lots of cupcakes, incorporated our favorite food, fajitas, and made sure that our guests had a wonderful time. We met on Match.com and knew right away that we were each other’s person. We were surrounded by so many loved ones who have played a huge role in our relationship and will continue to be there for us.

All my memories of the day are so special to me, but the one I cherish the most was when we had our last dance to ourselves while everyone else was outside getting the sparklers ready. We danced to the song Greatest Love Story by LANCO and it was a sweet moment we took to soak everything from the day in. Loved being in my husband’s arms twirling around the dance floor.
