Real Essense of Australia Bride Chloe + Leigh

Playing off her new last name, real Essense of Australia bride, Chloe, created a perfectly-personalized celebration as she tied to the knot with husband, Leigh. We love all the sweet swan touches and of course, her amazing mermaid gown. Congratulations!

From the bride: We were on our first overseas holiday together in Greece. We had an action-packed, adventure holiday and in our last few days, we decided to hire special accommodation with a private balcony and spa etc. where we could wind down and relax. we spent the last few days watching the sunset on the balcony, looking out to the sea (VERY romantic…). On the last night, whilst watching the sunset and eating dinner, my hubby jumped up and was pointing at something out at sea, I was like “yeah yeah” because I didn’t want to stand up… he eventually got me standing and hugged me and whispered “how have you enjoyed your trip” which I answered “it’s been 10/10!” Then he responded with “it’s about to get better!” And dropped to his knee with a BEAUTIFUL princess cut diamond in his hand. I immediately started crying with happiness. AND… He, of course, had asked my Dad’s permission before we went overseas which made the proposal even more special. There was a big time difference from Australia to Greece but we called all our families who were in bed asleep but so excited and happy to hear the news!!!

Getting married is every girl’s dream, so of course, I had always thought about the style I wanted! All along (even before getting engaged!) I knew I wanted a mermaid/tight fitted style. I tried on different styles to be sure, but I kept going back to the tight fitted style. I tried on my dress and I loved it. I said “I think this is the one” but it wasn’t until they added the veil that I knew, THIS IS THE ONE! I welled up with tears as that feeling of “the one” came over me. It’s so true what they say. You just know. The veil with the lace detail just completed my look for me. I just love the very “bridal” look with the sequins and lace. I wanted to be a traditional bride, with a contemporary or modern style/look which I believe my Essense of Australia dress ticked both those boxes. Thank you for creating something soooo perfect!

Our wedding was the best wedding I’ve ever been too if I do say so myself! My new surname is “Swan” so we wanted to incorporate the Swan theme into the wedding. The look was modern, sleek and elegant. There were fairy lights across the ceiling with beautiful bunches of flowers and glass wear and candles on the tables. We had Swan name place cards made, which added the Swan theme. We stuck with rose gold, silver, and dusty pinks as our main colours, as together, they look so classy. We also had individualised wedding favours for our guests, the boys having chocolate cricket bats as my husband loves cricket, whilst I had candles (for the girls) which had a reference to Harry Potter as I love Harry Potter. The whole day was made up of things/looks WE love. Our wedding was traditional, with father-daughter dance, bridal dance, the toss of bouquet and garter.

My favourite part of my whole wedding was walking down the aisle with my Dad, and seeing my husband-to-be at the end. I couldn’t take my eyes off him and I had the biggest smile. Seeing my then husband “to-be” so emotional about seeing me coming was the best feeling I have ever felt. Sharing that moment with my dad by my side and so many loved ones around me was incredible. That walk down the aisle to my husband to be was the most special moment on my wedding day and in my life! The moment felt like I Was in slow motion, so I was able to take in every second and savor the feeling. I’ll never forget that moment and how it made me feel. My husband says the same about watching me walk down to him. He says it was very special, emotional moment for him.
