honoring loved ones on your wedding day

How to Honor Your Late Loved Ones on Your Wedding Day

Weddings are the most exciting milestone for so many brides, but for some, the joyous occasion can bring grief and sadness. If you’ve lost a family member or friend who would’ve attended the wedding, it’s hard to plan knowing they won’t be there. Here are some ways you can honor your late loved ones, who undoubtedly have the best view:

Include photos of all of your late loved ones with a quote where guests can admire and reflect. Your grief may be something you try to console within yourself, but this idea allows your close family members and friends to reflect on your loved ones too.

Have a photo of your loved one sewn into the inside of your dress so they can still walk you down the aisle! You can also opt for their initials, a special number or quote that was special to them.

Include a little sentiment in your programs or make a donation to a foundation that they were involved in. You can do this in lieu of favors and make a huge impact.

You could also reserve a spot up front by placing a framed photo and flowers in their seat. As you grab the hands of your spouse and look into your sea of guests, you’ll still be able to see their smile!
