Real Essense of Australia Bride Hailey had the Christmas wedding of our dreams. Vintage with a modern twist, style D2038 perfectly complemented her big day. She loved her dress so much she made her additional material into a tree skirt. What a fun idea! Hailey’s bridesmaids also wore Sorella Vita gowns. Essense of Australia Bride Hailey + Chase

The Proposal: My husband and I met in college at the University of Kentucky his freshman year. 2.5 years later he took me back to the place where we first met, right in front of his freshman dorm building, and proposed! The cherry on top was that the diamond in my ring is from my late Papa’s wedding ring. My husband had asked my Mimi if he could have my papa’s ring and had the diamond put into a new setting for me.

The perfect Essense of Australia dress: I LOVE the modern vintage look. Getting married in December I knew I wanted illusion sleeves. I had been eyeing the dress for a while on Pinterest, and when I went into the bridal store I asked if they had this dress. The consultant pulled it out for me and put it in the room for me to try on. I let my mother, and maid of honor pick out some dresses for me as well, but when I tried on this dress (which was only the 4th one I tried on) I knew it was the dress I would marry the love of my life in.

The Wedding Details: We had a Christmas themed wedding. Christmas is our favorite holiday and our favorite time of year. We had accents of gold, ruby red, and forest green to go along with the ivory that matched my dress. On the stage in front of the venue, we had lit up trees on top of a bed of white tulle wrapped in string lights. My cousin, who is a lighting specialist, projected snowflakes on the ceiling. We read personal vows and included our fur baby in our first look. Seeing her so excited on our wedding day was the icing on the cake. Our cake topper even included an outline of a dog!

The most special memory from our day was when we took our bridal portraits. We were all on a party bus and had to drive about 45 minutes to get to this beautiful Christmas tree farm. When we finally got to the tree farm it was covered in mud and everyone’s heels were sinking. But we were determined to get our photos done! My husband picked me up and carried me all the way out to where the trees were and when we looked at each other, we couldn’t help but smile and laugh. We were overflowing with love for each other and in the end it made for the most gorgeous photos that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives!
