Fashion influencer and recent Oklahoma bride, Emma Battle of @emmaginethis, opened up to Brides of Oklahoma about newlywed life with her hubby, Chris, and looked back on her wedding planning journey with a super cute anniversary styled shoot.
The influencer recently tied the knot in a summer ceremony at Oklahoma Hall of Fame & Gaylord-Pickens Museum in a ceremony and reception that felt less formal and more akin to an enchanted summer party. She wore a classic, strapless and form fitting lace gown by designer, Stella York.
Planning a wedding should have been super easy for a style blogger who put together effortless outfits and inspo on the daily. “There is already so much pressure in the influencer world so it is pretty much multiplied when planning a wedding,” Battle told BoO. “You just want everything to be more than perfect because you feel like everyone is paying even more attention.”
Looking back on the day, Battle’s one piece of advice is to hire a planner, especially if your guest list is over 200. “It is so difficult to not have one because you don’t have anyone to go to directly when something needs to be done.” As for staying on budget, the fashionista said it was one of the most valuable lessons she learned while planning. “We all have our splurges with fashion but when it comes to wedding planning,” Battle explained that “Everything will cost more than you expect.”
